About the Role
Key Responsibilities:
Perform clothing alterations such as hemming, taking in or letting out garments
Repair damaged clothing including seams, zippers, and buttons
Measure clients to ensure proper garment fit
Sew garments using sewing machines and hand-sewing techniques
Press and finish garments to ensure a clean, professional look
Work with different fabrics and garment styles
Maintain sewing equipment and keep work area organized
Communicate with clients about alteration needs and timelines
Requirements
Qualifications:
Experience as a tailor, seamstress, or in garment alterations preferred
Knowledge of sewing techniques and garment construction
Ability to operate sewing machines and pressing equipment
Attention to detail and strong craftsmanship
Good time management and ability to meet deadlines
Strong customer service and communication skills
Preferred Skills:
Experience with bridal, formal wear, or custom garments
Pattern adjustment or basic pattern-making skills
Ability to work independently
